Chapter 87 (บทที่ 87)
A Well-Grounded Hope
ความหวังที่หยั่งรากอย่างมั่นคง

How are you to know that you are accepted of God? Study His word prayerfully. Lay it not aside for any other book. This book convinces of sin. It plainly reveals the way of salvation. It brings to view a bright and glorious reward. It reveals to you a complete Saviour, and teaches you that through His boundless mercy alone can you expect salvation. {MYP 268.1}

คุณจะทราบได้อย่างไรว่าคุณเป็น ที่ยอมรับของพระเจ้า จงศึกษาพระวจนะ ของพระองค์ด้วยใจอธิษฐาน อย่าหันเห ไปอ่านหนังสือประเภทอื่น หนังสือเล่มนี้ ทาให้รู้จักบาป เปิดเผยทางแห่งความรอด เผยให้เห็นรางวัลอันเจิดจ้าสง่างามสาแดง ให้คุณเข้าใจพระผู้ช่วยให้รอดผู้ทรงดีพร้อม อย่างครบถ้วน และยังสอนคุณว่าโดยผ่าน ทางพระเมตตาคุณอันไร้ขอบเขตของ พระองค์เพียงอย่างเดียวเท่านั้นที่คุณจะ คาดหวังถึงความรอดได้ {MYP 268.1}

Do not neglect secret prayer, for it is the soul of religion. With earnest, fervent prayer, plead for purity of soul. Plead as earnestly, as eagerly, as you would for your mortal life, were it at stake. Remain before God until unutterable longings are begotten within you for salvation, and the sweet evidence is obtained of pardoned sin. {MYP 268.2}

อย่าละเลยการอธิษฐานในที่ลี้ลับ เพราะเป็นจิตวิญญาณของศาสนา ด้วย การอธิษฐานอย่างจริงใจและร้อนรน จงทูล ขอการชาระจิตวิญญาณให้บริสุทธิ์ ทูลขอ อย่างจริงใจและกระตือรือร้น ราวกับว่า ชีวิตอมตะของคุณเป็นเดิมพัน ให้ดารง อยู่ต่อเบื้องพระเจ้าจนกระทั่งความปรารถนา ซึ่งไม่อาจกล่าวเป็นคาพูดเพื่อความรอด ผุดขึ้นในใจของคุณ และเป็นหลักฐาน อันห อมหวานของการอภัยบาป {MYP 268.2}

The hope of eternal life is not to be received upon slight grounds. It is a subject to be settled between God and your own soul, settled for eternity. A supposed hope, and nothing more, will prove your ruin. Since you are to stand or fall by the word of God, it is to that word you must look for testimony in your case. There you can see what is required of you to become a Christian. Do not lay off your armor, or leave the battlefield until you have obtained the victory, and triumph in your Redeemer. "Testimonies for the Church," Vol. 1, pp. 163, 164. (270) {MYP 268.3}

เราไม่ควรยอมรับความหวังของ ชีวิตนิรันดร์ไว้ด้วยท่าทีของการดูแคลน เรื่องนี้ต้องตกลงกันระหว่างพระเจ้ากับจิต วิญญาณของคุณเอง--เป็นการตกลงเพื่อ นิรันดร์กาล ความหวังที่จินตนาการขึ้น และไม่มีอะไรมากไปกว่านั้น จะนาความ พินาศมาสู่คุณอย่างแน่นอน เนื่องจากว่า คุณจะรอดหรือพินาศด้วยพระวจนะของ พระเจ้า คุณต้องค้นพระวจนะเพื่อหา คาพยานให้กับกรณีของคุณ เพราะใน พระวจนะคุณจะเห็นว่าอะไรคือข้อเรียก ร้องจากคุณเพื่อการเป็นคริสเตียนคน หนึ่ง อย่าถอดยุทธภัณฑ์ของคุณออก หรือทิ้งสมรภูมิการต่อสู้กลางคันจนกว่า คุณจะพิชิตชัยชนะ และฉลองชัยร่วม กับพระผู้ไถ่ของคุณ--“Testimonies for the Church,” Vol. 1, pp. 163, 164. {MYP 268.3}

Young men and young women, read the literature that will give you true knowledge, and that will be a help to the entire family. Say firmly: "I will not spend precious moments in reading that which will be of no profit to me, and which only unfits me to be of service to others. I will devote my time and my thoughts to acquiring a fitness for God's service. I will close my eyes to frivolous and sinful things. My ears are the Lord's, and I will not listen to the subtle reasoning of the enemy. My voice shall not in any way be subject to a will that is not under the influence of the Spirit of God. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and every power of my being shall be consecrated to worthy pursuits." "Testimonies for the Church," Vol. 7, p. 64. {MYP 270.1}

ชายหนุ่มและหญิงสาวทั้งหลาย จงอ่านสิ่งตีพิมพ์ที่ให้ความรู้ ที่แท้จริงและช่วยทั้งครอบครัวของคุณได้ ให้พูดอย่างหนักแน่นว่า “ฉันจะไม่ใช้เวลาอันมีค่าในการอ่านสิ่งที่ไม่เกิดคุณประโยชน์ต่อฉัน และที่ทาให้ฉันไม่เหมาะในการรับใช้ผู้อื่นเท่านั้น ฉันจะอุทิศเวลา และความคิดเพื่อให้มีความเหมาะสมสาหรับการรับใช้พระเจ้า ฉัน จะปิดตาไม่ไปเหลียวดูสิ่งที่ไร้สาระและเต็มไปด้วยบาป หูของฉัน เป็นของพระเจ้า และฉันจะไม่ฟังเหตุผลที่แฝงด้วยเล่ห์เหลี่ยม ของศัตรู เสียงของฉันจะไม่มีทางอยู่ใต้บังคับของความตั้งใจที่ไม่ได้ อยู่ภายใต้อิทธิพลของพระวิญญาณของพระเจ้า ร่างกายของฉัน เป็นวิหารของพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ และกาลังทั้งหมดของตัวฉัน จะขอมอบถวายเพื่อพระราชกิจอันทรงคุณค่า”--“Testimonies for the Church,” Vol. 7, p. 64. {MYP 270.1}
